By the time you read this post...

...we will already have Dub & Lena in our legal custody!

What an amazing blessing from the very hand of God! As we posted a few days ago, Thursday is going to be incredibly busy for Vera and Mit, with 2 families (us and the Morins) getting custody of our kids and another family (the Littlejohns) arriving and meeting their children for the first time. So, as we arrived today, Vera went straight to the Director of Umit, and told her what tomorrow would be like. The director said, "Get them out of here!"

So, with that, we are about to go get Dub & Lena one full day early!

Please pray for Dub & Lena. Their little lives are about to be turned upside down. We are sure that they know something is up. Dub was very emotional today. We walked around Umit saying "packa" (Russian for "goodbye") to everyone and everything, including the flowers, Stalin's playground, all the people we saw, the cold blue staircases, the music room...everything!

And, please pray for Angel and me, that we would have the wisdom to raise these beuatiful children as God would have us to do. Don't forget, we're rookies! We have no idea what we're doing. Hence our extreme need for God's guidance and wisdom.

Tonite's post should be very interesting indeed, assuming the monkeys ever go to sleep in their temporary new home.

Blessings,
Kevin, Angel, Dub, and Lena

What a wonderful surprise to read that the children are with you. Please remember, all parents have no previous experience, it is a learn as you go things. With God's wisdom and guidence you will do just fine.

Our love and prayers to all of you.

We will continue to pray for you guys. God's grace is with you, as with all parents, in a special way... His grace is sufficent. And abundant! I know He will give you wisdom to raise these kids, even as he has given you love for them.
We love you guys.

Thank you for sharing your experience. What a blessing you are to these two precious souls and to those of us who are following and will follow their lives. I cry, laugh, and smile while I read your posts. Thanks for sharing it with the PC alumni group, Kevin. Best thing we've seen in a long time. Please know you are already great parents! You four are in my prayers. - Kathy Bangle

CONGRATULATIONS FROM COLORADO!!!
We are so excited for all four of you. The only How-to manual kids come with is your love and the grace of God. Every fiber of your being lets Dub & Lena know how much you love them. They'll adapt before you know it. Can't wait for you to bring them to Colorado to see the Rocky Mountains.
Praying all goes well with the remainder of your trip.
